Abstract

Apoptotic cell death is essential for maintaining liver homeostasis, and its dysregulation contributes to liver diseases, which can lead to fibrosis and end-stage liver failure. Tumour Necrosis Factor-Related Apoptosis-Inducing Ligand (TRAIL) signalling is a key regulator of hepatobiliary apoptosis, yet the mechanisms that govern TRAIL sensitivity remain poorly defined. Here, we identify the Abscission/NoCut Checkpoint Regulator (ANCHR) and its interacting E3 ubiquitin ligase Mind Bomb 2 (MIB2) as novel modulators of death receptor-mediated apoptosis, with a particular emphasis on TRAIL signalling. Specifically, we show that ANCHR protects cancer cells from TRAIL-induced apoptosis by limitin..
